WTRK: Top Competition Tests Buckeyes at Drake Relays – Ohio State Buckeyes

DES MOINES, Iowa The Ohio State women’s track and field team wrapped up competition at a rain-soaked Drake Relays Saturday evening.
The Buckeyes faced strong opponents throughout the day, but managed to improve times in several key events.
A fifth-place and NCAA provisional time for Ayrizanna Favours and the 4x400m relay team was the highlight of the day for the Buckeyes. Their run of 3:41.31 is the second-best time in the Big Ten this season. Texas captured the title in 3:35.08.
Two seventh-place finishes rounded out the meet for Ohio State. Jordan Jennewine was seventh in the 1500m run at 4:32.25, while the 4x100m team took the seven spot in 47.46.
The Buckeyes return to Columbus for the Jesse Owens Track Classic May 1 and 2, their first home meet of the year.
