COLUMBUS, Ohio The No. 19 Ohio State women’s lacrosse team topped Duquesne 20-11 Sunday afternoon at Rooney Stadium in Pittsburgh.
The Buckeyes took an 8-0 lead before Duquesne got on the scoreboard, with three goals each from Maghan Beaudrault and Kelly Haggerty among those first eight. Ohio State led 17-3 at the half.
Haggerty finished the game with six goals and two assists for a team-best eight points; other scorers for the Buckeyes were Beaudrault (four goals, one assist); Alayna Markwordt (two goals, four assists); Lauren Sterner (two goals); and one goal each from Jayme Beard, Olivia Annalora, Gabby Capuzzi, Rachel Hawes, Kelsay Tabor and Margaret Prunte.
Ohio State, now 7-1, returns to action Tuesday hosting California at 7 p.m. in a match at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium; admission is free. Duquesne’s record is now 4-5.
