Opening Game of OCCC Cancelled; Play Starts at Noon Saturday – Ohio State Buckeyes

Remainder of schedule slated to be played
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The start of the 2009 Ohio Collegiate Charity Classis has been delayed until noon Saturday at Fred Beekman Park in Columbus. This cancels the 10 a.m. Ohio Dominican vs. Ashland game to allow the fields more time to dry out. The rest of the schedule remains as it was set.
Admission to the event will be a $5 donation and all proceeds go directly to the charity. Fred Beekman Park is an eight-field complex located west of State Route 315 at Lane Avenue.
Concessions will be available from the Central Ohio Coaches Association and bleacher seating is limited. Notably, all of the umpires for this event are donating their time.
