Women’s Tennis: Ohio State Wraps Up Day Two at the William & Mary Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

Haviland reaches final of Flight B singles
COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s tennis team completed Day Two at the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va.
Freshman Kelsey Haviland continued her impressive run through the B Flight of singles with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win over Gabriella Mejia of Miami (Fla.) in the quarterfinals. She is set to play in the finals of the B Flight after her opponent retired in the semifinals. That match will take place at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Julie Blackmore won her quarterfinal match against Erin Clark of Richmond, 6-3, 6-4, in the quarterfinals of the B Flight singles, but fell in the semifinals, 6-0, 6-3, to Stephanie Danesis of Miami (Ohio).
Julie Voss won 6-2, 6-4, over Sarah Lotto of Penn State in the Flight C quarterfinals but came up short in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-3, to Katharine Attwell of Boston College.
Angela DiPastina fell in the first round of the singles consolation bracket, as did teammates Christina Keesey and Cami Hubbs.
In doubles action, DiPastina and Keesey advanced to the finals of the Flight B consolation bracket with an 8-6 win over Laura Graybill and Sally Wilkey of Elon. They will face Gabriella Mejia and Jenna Osborne of Miami (Fla.) tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m.
