Blaine Wilson Helps U.S. Senior National Team to Win over Canada – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio Blaine Wilson, current Ohio State volunteer assistant coach and former Buckeye gymnast, recorded three Top 3 finishes at an international dual between the senior national teams from the U.S. and Canada Feb. 22. The U.S. defeated its northern neighbor, 361.35-352.6, in Calgary, Alberta.
Wilson finished second on both vault and high bar with a 15.65 and 15.05, respectively. In addition, the Columbus, Ohio, native finished third on rings with a 15.6.
The most decorated Buckeye to date, Wilson captured six NCAA individual titles, secured five-consecutive U.S. all-around titles (1996-2000) and earned a silver medal in the team competition at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. In addition, he led Ohio State to three Big Ten championships (1994-96-97) and the program’s second national championships in 1996.
