My Summer Favorites: Veronica Jatsek – Ohio State Buckeyes

Veronica Jatsek finished one of the most successful seasons by a women’s thrower in Ohio State history in 2007. She not only gained All-America honors in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, but also set a Big Ten record in winning the hammer at the 2007 conference outdoor meet. This summer, Jatsek is serving as an intern in her field of construction systems management.
Do you stay on campus in the summer? If so, what for? If not, where do you go?
I stay on campus to train and practice all summer and to take some summer classes.
Are you working any internships or jobs this summer?
I am working an internship with Dugan & Meyers Construction Company, located in Columbus.
What is your favorite thing about summer?
The weather and having a little more time to relax.

Swimming and all the popsicles you can eat!
What is your favorite thing to do outdoors?
Swim, BBQ, and practice.
What was your worst summer job?
I have never had a summer job I did not like.
Favorite ice cream flavor: Mint
Favorite summer vacation spot: Any pool… or California
Favorite thing on the grill: Chicken
Favorite piece of summer apparel (sandals, shorts, etc.): Sandals
