Three Buckeyes Ranked in Final National Statistics – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team had three players ranked in the Top 30 in the NCAA in key statistics, according to the final ncaasports.com Division I softball statistics rankings.
Senior pitcher Jamee Juarez placed in the Top 30 in both strikeouts per seven innings and saves. Juarez had nine strikeouts per seven innings, good for 19th nationally to go along with five saves, which was tied for sixth in the nation.
Senior second baseman Nycole Koyano totaled six triples on the season, giving her 0.1 triples per game, tied for 11th best in the nation.
In her first collegiate season, freshman catcher Sam Mardar showed excellent plate discipline, earning 44 walks in 58 games played and placing eighth nationally with 0.76 walks per game.
