NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP PRESS CONFERENCE
Miles Avery, Ohio State head coach
On the NCAA championships
“It is an exciting competition for all these young men. It’s the atmosphere of the championships and the way we train that makes it so exciting. These guys work and train together everyday so it means so much to these young men to win as a team.”
On Ohio State’s missed opportunity to qualify for the 2006 NCAA Team Championships
“I told our guys not to finish fourth. We want to stay healthy and rested but do well enough to qualify so that we can started a new streak and qualify for the next 25 championships. We sat down after last year and knew we had to do some things differently. We changed some of our training to get us to the point where we peak at the end of the season and we are prepared to be our best at this point of time.”
