– Ohio State sophomore Kim Reeder has allowed one earned run in her last 18.1 innings pitched.
– Ohio State senior Megan Schwab had her team-best six-game hitting streak snapped in the win over Birmingham-Southern Sunday morning.
– Ohio State’s three hits in the win over BSC matched their season-low hit total. The Buckeyes also had three hits in a 4-0 loss to Texas Tech in Tempe Feb. 10.
– The last time Ohio State won a game with three or few hits was last season on March 24 when the Buckeyes had two hits in a 2-0 win at Long Beach State.
– The last time Ohio State had exactly three hits in a game but still won was also in the state of Alabama, that coming last season on March 3 in a 3-1 win at then-No. 4 Alabama.
– Ohio State and Birmingham-Southern met for the first time in softball Saturday. BSC first fielded a team in 2002 and had its first winning season last year at 28-21 and 7-5 in the Big South Conference.
