– Buckeyes at the plate: Senior Nycole Koyano hit her 12th and 13th career triples in the game, which ties her for second all-time at Ohio State with Jen Fredrickson (1991-94). It marked the second time in her career that Koyano hit two triples in the same game (Feb. 18, 2005 vs. Rutgers).
– Buckeyes in the field: The Buckeyes were errorless in the field for the fifth time in their last six games. – Weather: Mostly sunny and 65 degrees at first pitch. Slight breeze out to right.
– Ohio State is now 2-4 all-time against Loyola Marymount.
– Loyola Marymount has nine starters back this year from its 2006 team that went 29-24 overall and 9-11 in the Pacific Coast Softball Conference.
