Women’s Tennis: Buckeyes Post Successful Day at Virginia Tech Fall Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s tennis team continued tournament action Friday in the Virginia Tech Fall Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. The Buckeyes combined to go 12-2 in singles and were 3-0 in doubles on the day. Play continues Saturday in Blacksburg.
In Flight A, sophomore Christina Keesey, from Northfield, Minn., advanced to the semifinals with two wins, including a straight-set victory over Marshall’s Jessica Keener in the quarterfinals.
Sophomore Ally Mueller and junior Angela DiPastina each reached the Flight B semifinals. Roswell, Ga., native Mueller had back-to-back straight-set victories, while DiPastina, from Titusville, N.J., came back from a set down to defeat Virginia Tech’s Holly Johnson in the quarterfinals (4-6, 6-0, 6-2).
In Flight C, junior Julie Blackmore, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and freshman Cami Hubbs, a native of Omaha, Neb., each advanced to the semifinals with two straight-set wins.
