Women’s volleyball head coach Jim Stone enters his 25th season at Ohio State. He has a 504-271 record with the Buckeyes and is 278-158 in Big Ten play. His squads have won Big Ten Championships in 1989, 1991 and 1994 and finished tied for second in 2004 being named the Big Ten Coach of the Year. He was the 1991 Volleyball Monthly National Coach of the Year and the Big Ten Coach of the Year in 1989, 1991, 1994 and 2004. Under Stone, Ohio State has participated in the NCAA championship in 14 of the last 17 years, advancing to the national semifinals in 1991 and 1994. Stone’s coaching career record includes three years at Wyoming (1979-1981). His 28-year career record is 554-313. In his 25 years with the Buckeyes, Stone has produced 20 All-Americans, 57 All-Big Ten Selections and two American Volleyball Coaches Association Players of the Year in Laura Davis and Stacey Gordon.
