Women’s Tennis Closes Out Play at Deacon Classic – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Members of the Ohio State women’s tennis team concluded play at the Deacon Classic, hosted by Wake Forest, in Winston-Salem, N.C., Sunday.
Freshman Ally Mueller (Roswell, Ga./New Braunfels (Texas) won the consolation final in Flight B, downing Kathy Robey of UNC Charlotte in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).
Freshman Christina Keesey (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) posted two wins Sunday in Flight A consolation, defeating both Lindsay Winingham (6-1, 6-3) and Kerry Snow (6-1, 6-3) of Dartmouth.
Senior Kristin Messmer (Lutherville, Md./McDonogh) was 2-0 on the day in consolation action in Flight C singles. She beat teammate Ciara Finucane (Dublin, Ireland/Georgia Southern) (6-2, 6-2) and Dartmouth’s Danielle Murray(6-2, 6-0).
