Ohio State Completes Gator Invite 13th – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State finished 13th in the first spring tournament of the men’s golf season Sunday at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. The event was played at the University of Florida Golf Course (par 70, 6,700 yards).

The Buckeyes were led by junior Colin Biles (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington), who carded rounds of 73-70-72=215 to finish tied for sixth in the individual standings.

Florida was the team champion after shooting rounds of 274-288-293=855 on its home course.

Sam Korbe of Tulsa and Brett Stegmaier of Florida shot even par 210 at the end of 54 holes to force a playoff. Korbe won individual medalist honors on the second playoff hole.

The Buckeyes travel next to the Lexus Intercollegiate Feb. 27-28 in Naples, Fla.
