Men’s Golf Tied for 6th with 18 Holes to Play at Inverness – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Jack Tyler, a junior from Novi, Mich, fired a 69 in the second round to finish among the Top 10 with 18 holes to play at the Inverness Invitational Monday in Toledo, Ohio. Fifteen teams played 36 holes Monday and will conclude the 54-hole event Tuesday.

Ohio State is tied for sixth overall after two rounds, improving four positions after the first 18 holes at the par 71, 7,255-yard Inverness Club.

Joshua Wooding of Southern California and Taylor Wood, also of USC, top the individual leaderboard. Wooding is at 1 under (141) while Wood shot even par (142). The Trojans lead the team scoring as well, with a score of 581 (+13). Texas is second at 591 (+23).

Ohio State shot 302 in the opening round, good enough for a tie for the 10th position after 18 holes. The Buckeyes cut five strokes in the second round to finish tied for sixth at (302-297) 599.
