Ohio State Gearing Up For Summer Night Camps – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Spots remain available for a pair of Ohio State softball summer night camps, head coach Linda Kalafatis has announced. The two night camps, scheduled to be held July 13 and July 27, will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Buckeyes’ varsity softball field.
The single-session night camps are open to girls in the eighth grade and up. The basics of all defensive positions will be taught, including infield, outfield, pitching and catching. Hitting and bunting will also be emphasized.
“Our philosophy at Ohio State is to work hard and have a lot of fun playing the great game of fastpitch softball,” Kalafatis said. “We incorporate that same philosophy into our camps. Girls will learn the finer points of the game and enjoy the relationships they build with their fellow campers and coaches.”
Campers will receive expert instruction from the Ohio State coaching staff in addition to other college coaches and student-athletes. A camp T-shirt is included in the cost of the camp, which is $60 for each session of the night camp.
