Women’s Lacrosse Regina Oliver Named to the 2005-06 U.S. Developmental Team – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s lacrosse student-athlete, Regina Oliver (Sr., Pottstown, Pa.) has been named to the 2005-06 U.S. Women’s Lacrosse Developmental Team. Oliver is one of 28 players chosen to represent the United States on the team selected by the U. S. Lacrosse National Teams Selection Committee, chaired by Barb Jordan.
The roster includes 10 players who played on the 2004-05 Developmental Team and four members of the 2003 U.S. Under-19 team, which captured the IFWLA U-19 world championships. Sixteen members are making their U.S. team debut.
The Developmental team will participate in a clinic at the 2005 IFWLA World Cup on June 25, prior to the U.S. game against Canada. The team will compete in exhibition games throughout the 2005-06 year.
Oliver has completed her career with the Buckeyes. She was a four-time American Lacrosse Conference first team selection, the ALC Player of the Year in 2003 and a three-time Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-American. She finished her career as the Ohio State career leader in ground balls (236) and caused turnovers (201), ranked second in draw controls (121) and goals (125), third in points (166) and sixth in assists (41).
Oliver was a member of the 2004-05 U.S. Women’s Lacrosse Developmental Team.
