Ohio State Softball Cancels Sunday Double-Header vs. Evansville – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Inclement weather has forced the cancellation of the Ohio State softball team’s double-header Sunday vs. Evansville. The games will not be rescheduled.
The Evansville double-header was to have marked Ohio State’s 2005 home-opener, which will now take place March 18 at 4 p.m. against Ball State in the first day of the Buckeye Invitational. In addition to Ball State, the event includes visiting teams Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan, Oakland and Marshall. All games will be played at Buckeye Field.
The Buckeyes (11-6) are coming off a 6-1 record and runner-up finish at the Buzz Classic hosted by Georgia Tech last weekend. The 11 days between OSU’s games last Sunday and the Buckeye Invitational March 18 is expected to be Ohio State’s longest layoff of the season.
