Rob Myers Qualifies for World Indoor Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio- Ohio State senior Rob Myers, who is redshirting the 2004 indoor season, competed at the 2004 United States Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 27-28. During the event, Myers ran unattached and placed first in the 1,500-meter run in a time 3:40.80.
By finishing first in the event, the Rushville, Ohio native qualified for his first international team and will compete next weekend in Budapest, Hungary at the 2004 World Indoor Championships.
“Rob’s redshirt indoor season is going great,” Robert Gary, Ohio State men’s cross country coach, said. “I always thought that if he could manage to stay healthy and get in a good base, Rob could run the 1500 with anyone in this country.”
