Postgame Notes
– With two runs scored, Meghan Rowlands tied her career high for runs scored in a game.
– With two RBI, Nycole Koyano registered her second multiple RBI game of the season.
– With her pinch-hit double in the sixth inning, sophomore Billie Jo Carder competed in her first game of the season.
– Ohio State now leads the all-time series vs. Loyola-Chicago, 4-1. These two teams last met during 1997 season.
– After seeing their seven-game winning streak snapped in the championship game of the Winthrop Invitational last Sunday, the Buckeyes got back into the win column for the 11th time in their last 13 games. Ohio State improves to 10-3 this season against unranked teams.
– The Buckeye Invitational schedule for Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. and will include five games, the last of which will be Ohio State’s only game of the day, a 7 p.m. contest vs. Northern Illinois.
