Postgame Notes
– Jamee Juarez’s strikeout total of nine ties her season high for a seven inning game. Her season-high total of 16 strikeouts came in a nine-inning game vs. Massachusetts Feb. 29. The shutout is her first of the season.
– Nycole Koyano’s single in the first inning extended her current team-leading hitting streak to seven consecutive games.
– After four consecutive games with at least 10 hits, the Buckeyes were held to four hits by N.C. State.
– Saturday marked the first time Ohio State and N.C. State have met in softball. The Wolfpack softball program is in its first year of existence.
– Following Ohio State’s game vs. Furman Saturday night, the winners of each of the tournament’s four groups will be seeded for bracket play Sunday.
