Buckeyes to Compete in U.S. Gymnastics Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five current and former members of the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team will compete in the U.S. Gymnastics Championships June 19-21 in Milwaukee, Wis. Buckeyes Jamey Houle (Jr., Enfield, Conn.) and Randy Monahan (So., Elizabethtown, Pa.) will join Raj Bhavsar (Sr., Houston, Texas) and Ryan Schwartzkopf (Sr., Columbus, Ind.), who recently completed their eligibility, and former Buckeye Blaine Wilson in the field at the national championships.
Bhavsar qualified for the event at the Feb. 8 Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas and the other Buckeyes qualified during the May 18 USA Gymnastics National Qualifier, which was held in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Along with crowning a national champion in the all-around and all six events, the U.S. Gymnastics Championships will act as a qualifier for the USA National Team (14 members). This year the national championships also will serve as a part of the trials process for selecting the USA World Championships Team (six members).
