Fox Sports Chicago to Broadcast 2003 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team, which placed fourth in both the men’s and women’s 2003 Big Ten Championships, will be featured as Fox Sports Ohio will air the conference meet Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 31 at 3 p.m.
Individual men’s champions Joel Brown (110-meter hurdles), Dan Taylor, who defended his 2002 title in the shot put, Aaron Fisher (5,000-meter run) and Derek Butler (10,000-meter run) will be highlighted along with women’s champions Tami Smith, (high jump), Nicholette Chambers (heptathlon) and Amarachi Ukabam (discus). Smith has won the last five combined indoor and outdoor Big Ten high jump titles.
The men’s fourth place overall finish is its third Top 4 placing in the last four seasons, while the women’s fourth place standing is its highest since scoring third in 2000.
Ohio State is off this week in preparation to play host to the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Regional Championships May 30 and 31 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
