Men’s Golf Finishes Ninth – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio State men’s golf team endured rough weather during the final round of play at the Marshall Invitational to finish the tournament ninth with a three-round score of 885. The event was held at the par 71, 6,446-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W. Va.
Junior Zach Doran (Dublin, Ohio) led all Ohio State individuals finishing the tournament tied for 15th with a three-round score of 219. Ohio State also received strong performances from Scott Anderson (So., Great Falls, Mont.) and Kevin Hall (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio) both whom turned in final rounds of 74 to hold off tenth place Akron.
Illinois won the tournament of 16 with a three-round score of 851. Kentucky freshman Matt Kohn won a one-hole playoff against Indiana sophomore Jeff Overton to take medallist honors.
The Buckeyes return to action next Saturday at the 35th annual Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
