Four from Ohio State Track and Field Squad Compete at Notre Dame – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio – Four members of the Ohio State track and field team competed in the Alex Wilson Invitational on the campus of the University of Notre Dame Friday and Saturday with last chance aspirations to automatically qualify for next week’s NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. March 14 and 15.
Hurdler Brandi Hogan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) won the 60-meter hurdles event with a provisional qualifying time of 8.37, while sophomore Shayla Moore (Jessup, Md.) also scored a provisional mark in the triple jump with a first place 42-1.25 effort.
Freshman Mike D’Andrea (Avon Lake, Ohio) recorded a 59-0.00 throw in the shot put to also provisionally qualify. Senior Rusty Azbell competed in the weight throw and posted a 62-5.25 mark.
Provisional marks will be evaluated and bids to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be released Monday at 8 p.m. (EST)
Ohio State’s national qualifiers will compete March 14 and 15 at the 2003 Championships at the University of Arkansas.
