Diea Named to Second Team All-Big Ten – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, OH – Natalia Diea (Sr., Austin, Texas/University of Texas) was named to the 2003 Second Team All-Big Ten after placing in the Top 10 in all three diving competitions at the 2003 Big Ten meet, the conference announced Tuesday.
Diea earned her second All-Big Ten selection and her fourth all-conference selection in her final year on the Ohio State squad. Diea finished seventh in the 1-meter and fourth in the 3-meter at the 2003 Big Ten Championships, Feb. 20-23 in West Lafayette, Ind., topping off her weekend with a second-place performance in the platform. Diea was named to the 2001 First Team All-Big Ten for winning the platform dive conference title. She also was named a first team All-Big 12 honoree in 1999 and 2000 for taking platform conference championships as well. This season, Diea posted 10 dual meet first-place finishes and swept diving competition at four meets.
Diea and the rest of the Ohio State men and women divers will compete, March 14-15 in Oxford, Ohio, at the 2003 NCAA Diving Zone Qualifying for a chance at competing at the respective men’s and women’s 2003 NCAA Championships.
