Day One Of NFCA Leadoff Classic Postponed – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ga.-Day one of the 2003 NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga. was postponed Friday due to heavy rain. Six first round games already in progress are scheduled to conclude Saturday at noon. The No. 21 Ohio State softball team (2-3), originally scheduled to take on No. 8 DePaul and Liberty at 2:30 and 5 p.m. Friday, will resume play Saturday at 2 p.m. against DePaul and at 4 p.m. against Liberty. The scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday game against No. 14 Arizona State is now scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. with bracket play to follow at 10 a.m. Sunday.
More rain is expected Saturday. Cancellations, postponed games and other information will be posted as it becomes available.
New Saturday schedule:
No. 16 Ohio State vs. No. 8 DePaul, 2 p.m.
No. 16 Ohio State vs. Liberty, 4 p.m.
No. 16 Ohio State vs. No. 14 Arizona State, 8 p.m.
