Ohio State Thrower Taylor Captures Third Big Ten Athlete Of The Week Honors In 2003 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State thrower Dan Taylor (Jr., Middlefield, Ohio/ Berkshire) was honored as the Big Ten Athlete Of The Week for the third time during the 2003 indoor season.
Taylor was recognized for his performance at the Rod McCray Memorial Invitational in Lexington, Ky., where he placed first in the shot put and the weight throw. Taylor captured first in the weight throw with a distance of 22.03 meters, which established a new Big Ten record in the event. Taylor also claimed first in the shot put with a distance of 19.65 meters.
Taylor who is the reigning Big Ten outdoor champion in the shot put, has now set a new school in a throwing event for five-consecutive weeks.
The Ohio State men’s and women’s track and field team returns to action this Friday at the Nittany Lion Invitational.
