Rosenband Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Senior forward Andy Rosenband (Sr., Hammond, Ind.) has been selected as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for his performance over the weekend against East Carolina and Richmond, the Big Ten announced today. Rosenband scored three goals in two games, helping the Buckeyes claim the Scarlet and Gray Classic championship. Rosenband connected on three of his nine shots, tallying six total points.
Rosenband, OSU’s leading scorer in 2001, scored one goal in a 2-0 win against East Carolina Friday night and scored two goals in the second half against a scrappy Richmond squad Sunday to help the Buckeyes improve their record to 2-0 on the young season.
The Buckeyes will head west this week to take part in the NIKE/Goal Rush Classic in Fresno, Calif. Ohio State will take on Loyola-Marymount Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Fresno State Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Both times are local to site.
