Columbus, Ohio- Ohio State women’s swimming head coach Jeanne Fleck today announced her recruiting class for the 2002-03 season. The class features ten new recruits, three from Florida and Ohio, two from Pennsylvania and one from New York and Kentucky. Coach Fleck emphasized this is her best class of recruits since her arrival at Ohio State three years ago.
The class includes Kim Reinhardt (Henryville, Pa.), Morgan O’Connor (Fremont, Ohio), Meaghan Mahoney (Plantation, Fla.), Nicole Maglich (Sarasota, Fla.), Erin Greene (Crawfordville, Fla.), Vanessa Grass (Rye Brook, N.Y.), Deanna Strunk (West Lawn, Pa.), Natalie Bojko (North Canton, Ohio), Marianne Sharp (Louisville, Ky.) and Lindsey Smith (Wyoming, Ohio). These recruits will add great depth to a young, up-and-coming Buckeye squad.
“I am very excited about this class,” Fleck said. “We have good recruits that should come in and help us score more points in dual meets and at the conference meet. This is the best class I have recruited since being at Ohio State.”
Reinhardt, Maglich and Mahoney are expected to contribute in the freestyle events immediately.
