Buckeyes Continue Competition At NCAA Track And Field Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus Ohio- The Buckeyes where represented at the 2002 NCAA track and field championships, Friday night in woman’s discus by Krista Keir (Jr., Westerville, Ohio/Westerville). Keir had an impressive showing by placing third at the 2002 NCAA track and field championships.
Keir, the Big Ten Champion in the Discus threw a distance of 54.62m., good enough for a third place place finish in the event. UCLA’s Chaniqua Ross Beckett won the event throwing a distance of 56.83m.
Two Buckeyes remain in the NCAA championships. Dan Taylor (So., Middlefield, Ohio/Bershire) will compete in the shot put Saturday along with Alexis McCall (So., Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) who will look to win the shot put title Saturday.
