Craig Finishes Seventh at USATF Indoor Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio– Ohio State co-captain Katy Craig (Sr., Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) finished seventh in the weight throw at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships Saturday in New York City.
She threw for a distance of 19.48 meters (63-11.0). Anna Norgren Mahon finished first with a distance of 23.33 meters (76-6.50).
Craig helped guide the Buckeyes to a fifth-place finish at the Big Ten Indoor Championships by earning her second consecutive title in the weight throw (69-3.25). She set a Big Ten Championships and career record with her toss.
Craig and four other Buckeyes (Alexis McCall, Tami Smith, Dalanda Jackson and Dan Taylor) will be back in action Saturday and Sunday when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
