Six Buckeyes Earn All-Big Ten Honors for Track and Field – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio–The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday the All-Big Ten indoor track and field teams, which included six Buckeyes. Ohio State weight thrower Katy Craig (Sr., Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) and high jumper Tami Smith (Jr., Galloway, Ohio/Westland) earned first team honors. Sprinters Onica Fraser (Sr., Brooklyn, N.Y./ Essex County) and Tina Johnson (Sr., Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) as well as hurdlers Dalanda Jackson (So., Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) and Molly Logan (Jr., Darby, Pa./Penn Wood Senior) were named to the second team.%^$
%^$Last weekend Craig helped guide the Buckeyes to a fifth-place finish at the Big Ten Indoor Championships by earning her second consecutive title in the weight throw (69-3.25). She set a Big Ten Championships and career record with her toss.%^$
%^$Smith captured her second consecutive conference high jump title with a jump of 5-10. She went undefeated through the season.%^$
%^$Fraser set personal records at the Big Ten Championships in the 200 and 400-meters with times of 24.70 and 54.91 seconds, respectively.%^$
%^$Johnson set a season best in the 200 at the Minnesota Gold Country Classic with a time of 25.42 seconds. She also had a season best at the New York Invitational in the 400-meters (56.65).%^$
%^$Jackson had her best performance in the 60-meter hurdles at the Scarlet and Gray Invitational with a time of 8.27 seconds. Logan had her best time in the hurdles at the OSU Invitational finishing in 8.45 seconds.%^$
%^$Craig will compete this weekend at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships in New York City. She and four other Buckeyes (Alexis McCall, Smith, Jackson and Dan Taylor) will be back in action March 8 and 9 when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.%^$
