Women’s Track & Field Place Fifth At Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field team finished fifth with a team score of 75 at the Big Ten Indoor Championships held in State Park, Penn. Michigan claimed top honors with a score of 116.%^$
%^$Three Buckeye women paced the squad with first place finishes. Co-captain Katy Craig (Sr., Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) won the 20 lb. weight throw for the second straight year, setting a new Big Ten championship and career record toss of 69-3 L. Tami Smith (Jr., Galloway, Ohio/Westland) continued her domination in the high jump by remaining undefeated on the season with a jump of 5-10. Smith’s win marked her second-consecutive high jump title at the championships. Alexis McCall (So., Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) finished first in the shot put, posting a throw of 52-6 l.%^$
