%^$Columbus, Ohio-The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team defeated the Louisville Cardinals Friday during senior night at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center, 159-101. The Buckeyes triumphed in 13 of the 16 events en route to victory. Kristin Sander (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio), Amanda Messmer (Sr., Worthington, Ohio) and Kristin Sendrowski (Sr., Garden City, N.Y.) each swam in their final home meet as a Buckeye.%^$
%^$The 800 freestyle relay team of Katie Severson (So., Cincinnati, Ohio), Amanda Treleaven (So., Colonial Light Australia), Kylie Lancken (Fr., Sydney, Australia) and Sander set a new Mike Peppe Aquatic Center record with a time of 7:31.59, smashing the old record of 7:34.03.%^$
%^$Other winners for the Buckeyes included the 200 medley relay team of Treleaven, Stephanie Raezer (So., Newark, Del.), Sendrowski and Severson with a time of 1:48.52, Kim Bojko (Jr., North Canton, Ohio) in the 1000 freestyle (11:00.20), Ashley Routson (Fr., Montgomery, N.Y.) in the 200 freestyle (2:00.99) and 100 backstroke (59.31), Erika Staley in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.81), Sendrowski in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.60, Severson in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.44, Abigail Grantstein (Fr., Wichita, Kan.) in the 100 freestyle (54.81) and Raezer in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:29.32. Senior Kristin Sander was victorious in her last solo event, winning the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.86.%^$
%^$The diving duo of Melanie Johnson (Jr., Boca Raton, Fla./Olympic Heights) and Jillian Cicione (Jr., Plantation, Fla.) dominated once again on the boards. Johnson took first in the 1-meter (265.88) and 3-meter dive (310.80) while Cicione followed with second place finishes in each event.%^$
%^$The Buckeyes are back in action Feb. 21-23 in Ann Arbor, Mich. for the Big Ten Championships.%^$
