Women’s Swimming & Diving Beats Bowling Green – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team won its fifth meet of the season with a 138-102 victory against Bowling Green Friday night at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
Stephanie Raezar ( Jr., Newark, Del./Glassglow) prepared the Buckeyes for victory by placing first in the 1,650-yard freestyle in a time of 17:09.22. Raezar also, stepped up on the 800-yard freestyle relay team, which finished first in a time of 7:49.80.
Amanda Treleaven (Jr., Colonol Light, Australia/Norwood), excelled in the pool, placing first in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.05, the team’s season best. She also placed first in the 200 frees in a time of 1:56.08.
Deanna Strunk (Fr., West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) placed first in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:11.66.
Kylie Lancken (So., Sydney, Australia/Ravenswood) stepped up for the Buckeyes placing first in three events. Lancken won the 50 free in a time of 25.04 and also took victory in the 100 free with a season’s best time of 52.98. She also participated on the winning team in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Lancken, Nicole Maglich (Fr., Sarasota, Fla./Sarasota), Raezar and Katie Severson (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West) also were members of that winning relay team that turned in a time of 7:49.80.
In diving, Natalia Diea (Sr., Austin, Texas/University of Texas) won the 1-meter dive with a score of 196.10. She also placed second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 191.70. Jillian Cicione (Sr., Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas) placed first in the 3-meter with a score of 198.00. She also placed second in the 1-meter with a score of 173.60.
