Volleyball Moves To 20th In AVCA National Poll – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball squad has moved up to 20th in the latest Division I National Poll released by the American Volleyball Coaches Association today. The Buckeyes were ranked 25th last week before picking up road wins against Iowa (3-1) and then sixth-ranked Minnesota (3-0). Ohio State (17-10 overall, 11-7 Big Ten) was ranked ninth in the preseason poll, but suffered a series of injuries that resulted in losing the first five Big Ten matches of the season and dropping out of the Top-25 for five weeks. Two weeks ago, Ohio State upset 13th-ranked Penn State at home along with a five-game victory over Indiana to return to the poll at 25th.
The Buckeyes will close out the regular season this weekend with home matches against Illinois and Purdue. OSU faces Purdue Fri., Nov. 29 and Illinois Sat., Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.
Ohio State will then wait for the NCAA announcement on Saturday for an expected at-large bid.
