Women’s Swimming & Diving Dominates Utah – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team won its fourth meet of the season with a 130-111 victory against Utah Friday night at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
Ohio State kicked off the meet by winning the 400-yard medley relay in a time of 3:55.20 lead by Amanda Treleaven (Jr., Colonol Light, Australia/Norwood), Stephanie Raezar ( Jr., Newark, Del./Glassglow) , Kylie Lancken (So., Sydney Australia/Ravenswood) and Kristinia Lipkis (So., St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles).
Deanna Strunk (Fr., West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) placed first in two events. She won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:06.68 and recorded the team’s best time of the season in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:08.38.
Nicole Maglich (Fr., Sarasota, Fla./Sarasota) won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:00.84 the team’s best time of the season. Maglich also came in second in the 200-fly in a time of 2:08.01.
Treleaven took first place in the 200-yard backstroke, in a time of 2:03.90, the team’s best time of the season.
Lancken recorded the team’s best time of the season in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.86.
In addition to swimming the second leg of the 400-yard medley relay, Raezar (Jr., Newark, Del./Glassglow) recorded the team’s best time of the season in the 200- IM where she placed second in a time of 2:08.58.
In diving, Natalia Diea (Sr., Austin, Texas/University of Texas) won both diving events. She won the 1-meter with a score of 192.60 and she won the 3-meter with a score of 217.15, her best mark this season.
