Merriman Named Big Ten Women’s Track And Field Athlete of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio—Donica Meriman (Sr., Trotwood, Ohio) has been named the Big Ten Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office.%^$
%^$Merriman posted two individual wins at this past weekend’s Jesse Owens Track Classic. She took first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 13.19 seconds. She followed that performance with a winning season-best time of 23.41 in the 200-meter dash, also a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.%^$
%^$Earlier in the day, Merriman anchored the 4×100-meter relay team to a second place finish in a season-best time of 45.49 seconds.%^$
%^$This marks the second time Merriman has received the honor this season. She previously was honored on April 16.%^$
%^$This weekend, the Buckeyes compete in their final meet before the Big Ten Championships, traveling to Bloomington, Ind., for the Billy Hayes Invitational held at Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex. Events are scheduled to begin at noon CST.
