Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Temple, 15-7 – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team fell short of defeating Coach Sue Stimmels alma mater Temple, 15-7. With the loss, OSU drops to 5-4 overall, while Temple improves to .500 (4-4 overall) on the season.%^$

In the first half, Temple’s Robin Keevan drew first blood by netting her first of two goals on the day. OSU’s Lauren Cochran (Jr., Coatesville, Pa.) evened the contest out by tallying the first goal of her hat trick. OSU then went on a fifteen-minute scoreless streak, while Temple ran away with the contest. The Buckeyes went into halftime trailing 6-3.%^$

Temple started the second half scoring three goals before OSU’s Megan Mirick (Jr., Burke, Va.) netted her first of two goals. OSU then was outscored, 9-4, in the second half.%^$

The Buckeyes return to action 3 p.m. Sunday when they travel to Lehigh University.%^$
