Buckeye Women Win Shuttle Hurdle Relay Championship – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio–The Buckeye women’s shuttle hurdle relay of Dalanda Jackson (Fr., Shaker Heights, Ohio), Brandi Hogan (Fr., Pittsburgh, Pa.), Molly Logan (So., Darby, Pa.) and All-American Donica Merriman (Sr., Trotwood, Ohio) ran a season-best time of 54.44 to win the Penn Relays shuttle hurdle championship of America at 107th Penn Relays Carnival in Philadelphia, Pa.
Adding to her relay championship, Merriman placed first in her 100-meter hurdle heat with a time of 13:06 and will defend her 100 hurdle meet record Saturday at 3:35 p.m. in the hurdle championship. Jackson placed seventh in the same heat.
The men’s distance medley relay of Rob Myers (So., Rushville, Ohio), Thomas Dickson (Sr., St. Vincent, West Indies) and All-Americans Andrew Pierce (Sr., Yellow Springs, Ohio) and Ian Connor (Sr., Lexington, Ohio) finished with a season-best time of 9:34.96 and earned a fourth place finish in championship.
In other men’s action, the 4×400 relay, ranked 15th in the nation, placed third in their heat with a time of 3:07.95 to qualify for the 4×400 college championship on Saturday. The sprint medley team earned a seventh place finish in the championship with a time of 3:20.94.
The Buckeyes conclude competition on Saturday with the college 4×400 relay final beginning at 5:55 p.m.
