Ohio State stands in fourth place after two rounds today at the 32nd annual Kepler Intercollegiate tournament, hosted by the Buckeyes at the OSU Scarlet Course (par 71, 7,251 yards). The Buckeyes scored 298-298=596 to tie with Miami of Ohio.
Mike Austin (Sr., Burton, Mich./Flint Powers Catholic) finished two rounds today on top for the Buckeyes, scoring 71-74=145 for third place standing overall. Kevin Hall (Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio/St.Rita) making his second collegiate tournament appearance, scored 76-70=146 to finish 36 holes in ninth place. Jason Oien (Jr., New Albany/Westerville North) finished the day with a two-round total of 151 for 25th place. Justin Collins (So., Ironton, Ohio/Ironton) is tied for 25th place, shooting a three-round total of 155 and Ryan Dennis (Jr., Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) is tied for 62nd, shooting 157 over 36 holes.
Jeff Olson (Sr., Dublin, Ohio/Robert Morris College) competing in the tournament as an individual competitor, is in second place overall, shooting a two-round total of 144.
Michigan is leading after two rounds with the score of 289 and Luke Donald of Northwestern is in the individual lead. The final round will begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
