Women’s Lacrosse Downed by Duquesne, 14-12 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team fell to Duquesne, 14-12, at Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. With the loss the Buckeyes dropped to 6-5 overall. While the victory for Duquesne improved their almost perfect overall record to 10-1.
Ohio State was lead in scoring by Lauren Cochran (Jr. Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) who tallied four goals, two in each half. The Buckeyes started out slow and were down 10-5 at the end of the first half. Ohio State put up a good fight in the second half scoring seven goals but were unable to bridge the gap created in the first half by Duquesne.
The Buckeyes return to action Sunday at 4 p.m. when they play host to Virginia Tech at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
