Women’s Lacrosse Downs Colgate, 9-6 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team (2-0 overall) downed Colgate University, 9-6, Friday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Buckeyes improve its record to a perfect 2-0 on the season.
Ohio State went into the half trailing 5-4. OSU outscored Colgate, 5-1 in the second half to put away the Red Raiders. The Buckeyes were led by Amy Tulk (Fr., West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) who scored a hat trick in the first half for the Buckeyes. Erin Andersen (Sr., Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) and Alexia Vogler (So., Ellicot City, Md./Centennial) each scored two goals for the Buckeyes. Shannon Wilson (So., Crystal Beach, Ont./Lakeshore Catholic) picked up two points on two assists.
In goal, Megan Barnett (Jr., Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) help shut down the Red Raiders attack with stopping seven shots.
The Buckeyes return to action hitting the road to take on Boston Univesity at 1 p.m. March 18th at St. Joesephs College.
