Ohio State’s Pierce Photo Finish Short of Title – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Andrew Pierce (Yellow Springs, Ohio/ Yellow Springs) fell short of the 400-meter NCAA Indoor Championship title today in Fayetteville, Ark. Pierce and Florida’s Ricky Harris burst through the finish line at 45.78. Harris was declared winner after a photo finish.
Katy Craig (Jr., Hilliard, Ohio/ Hilliard) finished sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 64’03. 50 while Ian Connor (Sr., Lexington, Ohio/ Northmoor) placed 12th in the men’s 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:11.59. Members of the men’s 4×400-meter relay team including Courtney Cornwall (Sr., Cedarhurst, N.Y./Lawrence), Thomas Dickson (Sr., Vincent, Wis.) Joel Brown (so. Baltimore, Md. Woodlawn) and anchor Andrew Pierce, finished ninth with after posting a time of 3:09.43.
