Natalia Diea Wins the Platform at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team (6-7 overall 0-4 Big Ten) finished its season Saturday, at the Big Ten Championships. The Buckeyes finished with 113 points to finish 11th. The events for Saturday were the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 400 freestyle relay, and platform diving.
Natalia Diea (Jr., Austin, Texas/Texas University) took first place in the platform dive with the score of 465.50. Diea was the lone Buckeye to win an event this weekend. Katie Severson (Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West) placed 12th in the 100 freestyle posting a time of :51.57. In the 200 butterfly Krissy Sendrowski (Jr., Garden City, N.J./H. Frank Carey) placed 15th with a time of 2:04.60. The 400 freestyle relay team of Severson, Amanda Treleaven (Fr., Colonel Light, Australia/Norwood), Lindsey Hartman (Fr., Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo), and Kristin Sander (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) placed 10th posting a time of 3:30.37.
The Michigan Wolverines take the crown as conference champions with a score of 582.
The Buckeyes finish the season with a record of 6-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
