Women’s Swimming/Diving Completes Day Two at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team (6-7 overall 0-4 Big Ten) finished the first day of the Big Ten Championships at Indiana University. The events for Friday were the 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 3-meter dive.
Natalia Diea (Jr., Austin, Texas/Texas University) and Jillian Cicione (So., Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas) placed seventh and 11th respectively in the 3-meter dive. Diea posted a score of 467.20 while Cicione posted 1.03. Amanda Treleaven (Fr., Colonol Light, Australia/Norwood) placed eighth in the consolations of the 100 backstroke posting a time of :57.15. In the 100 breastroke Erica Staley (So., Piqua, Ohio/Piqua) placed 8th in the consolations with a time of 1:04.83.
The Buckeyes head into the final day of the Big Ten Championships Feb. 17, in Bloomington, Ind.
