Women’s Swimming and Diving Defeats West Virginia – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio— The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team (1-3) defeated West Virginia, 133-102, at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
The Buckeyes won eight of 11 swimming events and both diving events. Stacy Lowry (Piquza, Ohio/Piqua) won her first ever collegiate individual event, taking first in the 200 individual medley (2:13. 72). Amanda Treleaven (So., Colonol Light, Australia) won the 100 backstroke with a time of :57.29. On the boards, Melanie Johnson (Jr., Boca Raton, Fla.) won both the one meter dive (269.63) and the three meter dive (286.88).
OSU travels to West Lafayette, Ind. for a tri-meet with Purdue and Iowa at 2p.m.(CST). Next week the Buckeyes travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the Pittsburgh Invitational, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh Friday, Nov. 16 – Sunday, Nov. 18.
