Women’s Swimming Downs Cleveland State – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio-The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team defeated the Vikings from Cleveland State tonight by the score of 129-82. With the victory the Buckeyes improve their record to 2-5 on the young season.
The Buckeyes were victorious in 10 of the 12 events. Winners for the Buckeyes included Lindsay Goodson (So., Sam Ramon, Calif./Carondelet) in the 100 (55.45) and 1000 freestyle (10:41.57). Kristin Sendrowski (Sr., Garden City, N.Y./H. Frank Carey)was also a double winner in with first place finishes in the 200 freestyle (1:56.15) and the 100 butterfly (57.53). Amanda Treleaven (So., Colonol Light, Australia/Norwood) also recorded two victories with strong performances in the 200 IM (2:10.68) and 100 backstroke (59.07).
Rounding out the winners for the Buckeyes were Kristin Sander (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) in the 50 freestyle (24.93), Katie Severson (So., Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West) in the 500 freestyle (5:09.58) and Melanie Johnson (Jr., Boca Raton, Fla./Olympic Heights) continued her domination on the boards winning the 1 meter dive with a score of 278.93. The 200 Medley relay team of Treleaven, Sendrowski, Severson and Erika Staley were winners with a time of 1:47.97.
