Gray Wins Both Ends of Co-ed Intrasquad Meet – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio State men’s and women’s swimming teams opened up the 2001-02 season with an intrasquad meet at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center in Larkins Hall.%^$
%^$The Gray squad defeated the Scarlet team, 116-84, on the men’s side. The Gray women were also victorious over the Scarlet, 94-89. Both coaches were very pleased with their squad’s performance in preparation for the upcoming season.%^$
%^$”I was really happy,” women’s head coach Jeanne Fleck said. “I feel like our upperclassmen are way ahead of where they were last year. That has a lot to do with buying into the program and believing in where they are going. Their attitude was really great tonight.”%^$
%^$Men’s head coach Bill Wadley shared the same remarks about his squad.%^$
%^$”It’s early and we still have a lot of work to do,” Wadley said. “We’ve got a lot of young guys. I love their attitude and their efforts. But we still have our work cut out for us before we start the real competition.”%^$
%^$Both the men and women Buckeyes will open the season Oct. 26 at Ohio University.%^$
